Marathon DDR / ITG

Calimist is a monster.

I am confident with my stamina in this game, but I will probably never reach this guy's level.

He is playing 60,000 steps chart with constant 16th note stream for 2 hours.
For god sake, the most I logged in one day was probably 30,000 steps WITH A BREAK between each songs.

Colbert Plays DDR

This is an old clip.

So this is the story behind this "battle".
Colbert and the Korean pop-star, "Rain", was head to head in TIME magazine's online man of the year pole. Stephen Colbert became the TIME's man of the year back in 2005. However, his crown got stolen by Rain in 2006 and 2007 consecutively. Since then, Stephen Colbert been sarcastically making fun of Rain. After series of episodes, Colbert set up the "dance off" to decide who is the real man of the year.

Obviously, this whole thing was a joke.

I like Stephen Colbert, and I like DDR. So the joke looked much funnier than it was suppose to.

INTERNAL - DESIGN!!!! INTERNAL - DESIGN!!!!

Have you guys ever wondered what your game controller's internal design looks like?

Well, here is the link to the internal design of most of the controllers that exist on this planet.

If you guys ever need to perform some autopsy on your controllers when it fails you while you were playing smash, you know where to look for.

Actually, I wonder what my keyboard's internal design looks like. After all, I broke 2 keyboards by playing stepmania for 10 hours straight or something. I should have performed autopsy on my poor keyboard =(

For those of you who doesn't get my title's joke, here is the link. (Don't watch it if you are homophobic)

You Might Need This

I came across this short cartoon.

I thought it was funny because I always tried to find a way to be productive. So I usually played ITG or DDR to be "social". You know where I am going with this. We uses games to be productive, but at the end, we feel like we've done nothing. How sad.

Disregarding what people say, I still feel productive when I play ITG. har har

Fanime 2009: Sunday

Hello everyone,

Like yesterday, I arrived to fanime later at around 9pm. So I am little sad that I didn't get to look around anime goods, but fanime was still fun.

When I arrived to the convention, I went straight for arcade again because it is the best place to find my friends. Once I got to the ITG machine, I met one of my friend there. I still had to find my other friends, but I decided to play one game of ITG before I looked around. I selected Operation Evolution, Kirby's theme, and Infernoplex. Man, it was wrong idea for me to select Operation Evolution as a first song. My legs craped up right from beginning because I wasn't warmed up enough. But even with a pain, I still passed the song, and proceeded to clear rest of the stages.

After I was done playing ITG, I met with up with my other friends at karaoke area. I goot lost at convention trying to meet up with my friends because I walked toward the opposite direction from karaoke area; hence, I was actually walking toward the dance hall. There was obviously a trouble there, but I still got to meet up with my friends.

We still had two more hours to kill until they start to show hentai. So we just randomly walked into video room #3 for an entertainment. They were showing the Prince of Tennis when we walked in. Man, I don't know when the last time I saw that show. Also, when did that show turned so gay? If you guys don't know what I am talking about, it is Ok =)

Once the clock striked midnight, we went off for hentai night. I was looking forward to the show, but I was actually pretty disappointed with the show. All they showed were some tentacle bondage, and other random shits. It was turn off for me. Once I saw the Nightshift Nurse, me and my friends left the room. I swear to the God, why couldn't choose a better series?

Well, my fanime experience sorta ended with a disappointment, but it was still fun.

I will be looking forward to next year. =)

Fanime : Saturday Night

I finally went to fanime con yesterday. The convention was sooo awesome.

I went straight to arcade as soon as I finished registering my names for fanime. The ITG machine was actually farily in good condition considering that the the machine was acutally upgraded cabinet. I played 2 games on that machine and the songs were: MAX Forever, Infernoplex, Destiny, Heaven, Tricky Disco, and Uber Rave.

I actually got a big croud of people watching me play today. I passed all the songs except for Uber Rave. My over all scores were decent considering that I am not used to upgraded ITG pad. Since I wasn't used to the pad, I failed Uber Rave, and people kept telling me to go on and do backflip. But I got a good cheer, so that was fun.

After warming up on ITG machine, I went to registeration table to enter myself into DDR EXTREME 2 tournament. I thought the tournament was going to be lame, but I was wrong. The entrees were really competative ranging from well known Chaos to a random newb that I never met.

Once the tournment begun, the officials has chosen Cartoon Hero as qualifying songs. I have no clue why, but I got really nervous when my turn came up. When the song started, my leg movements were not on beat. At the end, I got a crappy score of 37 Greats or something. I was really disappointed with myself, but I still seeded right in middle. During the qualifier, 2 guys got 5 Greats, and on tie-breaker, one guy got 2 Greats on that song. I think top 4 people had single diget Greats.

When the single elimination began, I went against Chub, who was well known for his accuracy. He was seeded higher than me; probably 3rd. Since I had no chance against him in easy songs, I chose Paranoia Survivor to take an advantage of my high stamina. My strategy went well and I won the first song. For the second song, he chose some slow song that had many off beats, and I got screwed over badly. The tie-breaker was quickening, and he took the match by getting AAA on that song. I was fine for losing, but I complaint about my pad because I got random good and misses on my pad. After some inspection, my side of pad was messed up. So they went off to fix it. However, I still accepted the defeat because there was no way that I could have got AAA on that song. At the end Chub won the tourny, so I guess I am happy that I went against him.

After the tourny, my friends took me to Rave Dance. I had absolutely no clue on how to dance, but my friend taught me how to do figure 8, and I picked up the skill fairly fast. I was so amazing how I can blend into a group just by knowing a single simple move. I danced with people for about good 3-4 hours until my arms became very sore and tired. The glow sticks were dying down too, so we decided to go watch hentai.

The hentai AMV was actually pretty funny. I always wonder where some of these people get their creative ideas. Some of them were quite disturbing, but it was still funny. :P

Now I am looking forward to Sunday night. wohoo
